Our tour lasts approximately 3 hours with two departures. One in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Petty Officer Murray discovered the channel they called Beagle. On October 14, 1830, HMS Beagle and HMS Adventure returned to Plymouth (England). At the end of 1831 he set sail again, under the command of Captain Robert Fitz Roy, and returned in 1836, after circumnavigating the world.

HMS Beagle - Discovering the Galapagos HMS Beagle is the ship that visited the Galapagos Islands in 1835 as part of the 5-year (1831-1836) voyage around the world. Robert Fitzroy captained HMS Beagle and Charles Darwin was the ship's naturalist.

Its name means in French "The Explorers" or "The Illuminators" as many call it, and it is taken from a group of islets. The set of islets that give the lighthouse its name were named by Frigate Captain Luis Fernando Martial, in command of the French La Romanche expedition in the years 1882-1883.
